FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
How does the TEX membrane work?
The TEX membrane is a bi-material, composed of a water-repellent layer integrated in an oil repellent structure, allowing water vapor to go through the membrane. This is at the same time a physical barrier preventing water and other substances to penetrate.
Through a microscope, you can observe several tiny pores, even 20.000 times smaller than a water drop, having such a size to allow a molecule of human sweat to penetrate, but preventing at the same time water to penetrate from outside.
